About The Position

The Slot Attendant is responsible for assisting customers with machine issues, jackpot payouts, and machine fills. This role also involves educating customers on slot machine payout tables and ensuring they have valid currency for bill validators. The Slot Attendant provides customer service, maintains positive working relationships, and adheres to all state and federal gaming laws and regulations, as well as house policies and procedures. This position requires a clean and safe work environment, compliance with safety procedures, and alertness to casino operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of slot machine games and basic operations.
  • Working knowledge of jackpot payout and machine fill procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees and customers.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must be able to have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Handle jackpot payouts, including verification of machine information.
  • Handle all slot machine fills.
  • Record appropriate information on jackpot/fill slips and the Slot Machine Entry Access Log.
  • Assist customers with machine jams.
  • Provide customers with an understanding of slot machine payout tables.
  • Assist customers in obtaining bills that work in bill validators and provide change.
  • Assist in keeping the casino floor clean, including picking up trash, cleaning ashtrays, and returning dirty glasses.
  • Identify anyone who appears to be under the age of 30.
  • Explain the Winners Zone Card Club to customers.
  • Handle, count, reconcile, and distribute large sums of money accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in providing customer services to all customers through various activities.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all customers and team members.
  • Maintain alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times.
  • Keep supervisor informed of any concerns.
  • Comply with established security policies and procedures.
  • Perform, when necessary, as a backup to casino staff.
  • Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
  • Learn and practice any training material given to increase knowledge of the position.
  • Be on time and dependable.
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
