About The Position
This position requires coverage for all jobs in the department, which include general production and operator positions, for openings, absences, vacations, and LOAs. Positions may be responsible for running machinery, packing, sanitizing, receiving, or shipping of products, making boxes, and good housekeeping practices. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. Requirements
- Must be willing to repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to grip with hands.
- Must be able to properly complete the paperwork associated with the position(s) assigned.
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Must be willing to accommodate shift start time changes.
- Must be willing to obtain license to operate forklift.
- Must be willing to obtain license for LOTO.
- Must have 6 months continuous employment in the last 18 months.
- Newbern does not accept rehires.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.
