About The Position

The Sleep Technician (Polysomnographic Tech) provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies in an acute hospital setting. Working under the general supervision of the Clinical Director or designee, this role is responsible for conducting polysomnography and related procedures, monitoring and evaluating sleep disorders, scoring and reporting study results, and educating patients on testing processes and outcomes. The Sleep Technician ensures proper preparation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment, supports patient safety and comfort throughout testing, and may provide guidance or oversight to other sleep lab staff as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a program in Polysomnography required
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) required
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification is required

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years of experience preferred
