About The Position

Pullman Regional is an innovative, patient-focused, multi-disciplinary based work environment where all members of the team contribute to the exceptional care of our patients and the community. This role conducts sleep studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic services. The technician will deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to standards and guidelines established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of polysomnographic technician program and credentialed as RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new technologies.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in sleep medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.
  • Review patient information and assure proper tests being performed.
  • Observe and document sleep stages, clinical events, position changes, and other significant events such as cardiac arrhythmias, apneas, hypopneas, and movement disorders.
  • Verify integrity of collected data.
  • Implement appropriate intervention including bilevel positive airway pressure, supplemental oxygen, etc., including consulting with medical director regarding any concerns.
  • Educates patients in sleep study procedures and responds to questions.
  • Identify safety concerns and resolve identified issues.
