About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Sleep Medicine Physician at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in California. This is an out-patient clinic position with a great patient population. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0600 and 1630. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5, 9.5 or 10.5-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-minute or 60-minute lunch break, respectively. In no instance will the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Health Care Worker (HCW) be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period. The role may involve moving between the Naval Medical Center San Diego and Naval Branch Health Clinic MCAS Miramar either weekly or more frequently. There are no nights, weekends, or holidays required. This position offers freedom from malpractice insurance worries.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Sleep Medicine.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in California.
  • Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • 24 months of experience in the past 36 months (Residency training can be included).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sleep medicine physician services in an out-patient clinic setting.
  • Manage patient care within the clinic hours of operation.
  • Potentially move between Naval Medical Center San Diego and Naval Branch Health Clinic MCAS Miramar.
