About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Sleep Medicine Physician at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) in California. This is an out-patient clinic position with a great patient population. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts normally scheduled for an 8.5, 9.5 or 10.5-hour period, including a 30-minute or 60-minute lunch break. Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Healthcare Workers (HCW) will not be required to provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period. The position may involve movement between the Naval Medical Center San Diego and Naval Branch Health Clinic MCAS Miramar, either weekly or more frequently. There are no nights, weekends, or holidays required. The role offers freedom from malpractice insurance worries. Salary is to be determined, with employee or 1099 status available in the range of $150-175 per hour.

Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in California.
  • Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • 24 months of experience in the past 36 months (Residency training can be included).
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sleep medicine physician services at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) and potentially Naval Branch Health Clinic MCAS Miramar.
  • Work in an out-patient clinic setting.
  • Adhere to a Monday through Friday work schedule with shifts ranging from 8.5 to 10.5 hours, including a lunch break.
  • Ensure services do not exceed 80 hours per two-week period for FTE HCW.
  • Manage a great patient population.
