SLEEP CONSULTANT (SHAWNEE/FT) Non-Safety Sensitive
About The Position
The Sleep Consultant will promote and sell mattresses, work directly with customers and employees across all departments, and follow up with customer orders and inquiries. This role involves assisting with merchandise problems in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure customer needs are met. The consultant will answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and uses, emphasizing product features based on customer needs analysis. Responsibilities also include preparing sales tickets, assisting customers in product selection, recommending and locating merchandise, and describing merchandise and its use, operation, and care. Additionally, the role involves cashier duties, auditing the safe, making bank deposits, and loading/unloading transfers and pickups. Any other duties as directed by management are also part of the role.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Positive attitude when working with customers
- Ability to assist in loading mattresses (lift up to 50 lbs)
- Advanced computer skills
- Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures

Responsibilities

- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customer needs
- Prepare sales tickets for orders obtained
- Assist customers in making product selections based on customers specifications
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs
- Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers
- Running cashier till; auditing safe
- Making bank deposits
- Load and unload transfers and pickups
- Any other duties as directed by management
