About The Position

The Freelance Skincare Advocate & Advisor represents Medik8 within Sephora retail locations, serving as the face of the brand. The role focuses on driving sell-through through exceptional client experiences, increasing brand awareness, educating Sephora Cast Members on Medik8’s CSA Philosophy (Vitamin C, Sunscreen, Vitamin A), and maintaining a flawless brand presence.

The position is based remotely with proximity to Houston and involves working across retail locations as needed. The schedule is flexible to meet business needs and may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Employment, payroll, and benefits administration are handled through a third-party Employer of Record or staffing partner, rather than directly by Medik8 or Sephora.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client service skills.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Comfort conducting skincare consultations and product demonstrations.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with brand leadership.
• Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift and move event and merchandising materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel between multiple retail locations as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in skincare, beauty, cosmetics, luxury retail, or sales.
• Passion for skincare and a strong understanding of skincare ingredients and routine building.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized skincare consultations and product recommendations based on client needs and concerns.
• Drive sales and achieve the Sales Per Hour (SPH) goal.
• Educate consumers on brand philosophy, hero products, ingredients, and skincare routines.
• Execute in-store events, trainings, and brand activations to increase client engagement and sales.
• Build strong partnerships with store and leadership teams.
• Maintain expert knowledge of skincare trends, ingredients, competitors, and industry best practices.
• Uphold merchandising standards, including product presentation, testers, and hygiene compliance.
• Capture and report sales results, client feedback, competitive insights, and event outcomes.
• Represent the brand professionally and embody its values.
