About The Position
Performance Contracting employs a variety of skilled tradespeople for projects in the Pacific Northwest. The roles involve construction, installation, maintenance, and repair across different specialized fields. On-the-job training is offered for some positions.
Requirements
- Must be an active member of the union in good standing (in non-right to work states).
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.

- May include supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Work or removal of materials that have potential to create hazardous exposure (e.g., asbestos, lead, mold).
- Perform skilled carpentry work including construction, installation, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures.
- Apply fireproofing materials in commercial construction.
- Prepare work areas by transporting tools and equipment, loading/unloading materials, and cleaning construction sites.
- Utilize various paint systems and mix industrial coatings.
- Mix and prepare plastering/EIFS materials, install EIFS substrate, and multi-step plaster systems.
- Construct, fabricate, and install structural steel and iron components.
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment for construction, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and piping networks.
- Install, repair, and replace glass in structures.
- Construct, assemble, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, and other large metal containers.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs on buildings and structures.
- Cut, shape, and install various types of sheet metal for ducts, roofs, and HVAC components.
- Operate and drive trucks or other heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials.
