Requirements

  • Licenced Millwright
  • Licenced Electrician
  • Licenced Power Engineer (Class 4)
  • Ability to perform reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify plant equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and company policies while supporting continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and departments, completing work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Ensure reliable electrical operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical, electronic, and control systems to support safe and efficient production.
  • Install and upgrade electrical equipment including wiring, conduits, lighting, motors, panels, and control devices in accordance with electrical codes and Saputo standards.
  • Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications to accurately execute installations, repairs, and modifications.
  • Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement by performing testing and calibration of industrial instrumentation, completing preventive maintenance activities, and maintaining accurate records in the CMMS.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities across production equipment, wastewater treatment systems, utilities, HVAC, warehouse equipment, and building infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment plant, including pH and solids control, process adjustments, calibration of probes and sensors, chemical handling, sludge shipping, and response to chemical or hazardous waste incidents.
  • Monitor, record, and trend operational data from plant instrumentation; maintain accurate logs, maintenance shift records, parts usage, inventory tracking, timesheets, and HACCP/regulatory documentation.
  • Collaborate with skilled trades, vendors, and contractors to complete projects; participate in energy-efficiency initiatives and act as Plant Power Engineer during emergencies or operational coverage as required.
