About The Position

Gabletek is seeking motivated Skilled Trades Trainees interested in building a long-term career in industrial automation and skilled trades. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable technical skills in a growing industry. We welcome both experienced candidates and individuals with little to no experience who are eager to learn. Trainees will receive exposure and training in three primary skilled trades areas: Machine Building, Electrical, and Pipefitting. This position offers hands-on learning within an automation environment while working alongside experienced professionals. Trainees will participate in skilled trades training classes and practical shop experience designed to build foundational knowledge and real-world skills used in automation, manufacturing, and industrial systems.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
• Interested in automation, manufacturing, or skilled trades.
• Able to work with tools and hands-on equipment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to grow professionally.
• Little to no experience is acceptable, but prior experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in skilled trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in skilled trades training classes and practical shop experience.
• Gain foundational knowledge and real-world skills in automation, manufacturing, and industrial systems.
• Learn to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Develop machine assembly and installation techniques.
• Acquire basic industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting skills.
• Understand pneumatics, hydraulics, and pipe routing fundamentals.
• Learn the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Gain knowledge in preventative maintenance and automation system support.
• Understand robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in an industrial setting.
