About The Position
Loenbro is seeking an initiative-taking individual willing to work hard and grow as a Skilled Laborer in Epping, North Dakota. The employee works under the supervision of a skilled craftsman and performs manual labor across a range of trades, including scaffolding, insulation, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work. Knowledge of scaffolding and insulation, pipefitting, welding, and civil work is recommended. The role involves supporting construction activities by moving and positioning materials, loading and unloading equipment, operating hand and power tools under supervision, digging and backfilling trenches, and assisting with installation of pipes, concrete, and steel. The employee must follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Work takes place in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments and may involve extreme temperatures, confined spaces, limited work surfaces and visibility, noise above 85 decibels, and intense odors. Compliance with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro EH&S policies is required.
Requirements
- GED or high school diploma.
- Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to lift and carry objects and materials of various weights.
- Ability to comply with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety policies.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of scaffolding and insulation, pipefitting, welding, and civil work is recommended.
- Skilled in math, including adding and subtracting fractions.
- Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Move workpieces, tools, and supplies manually or by hand truck.
- Follow directions closely.
- Lift, move, and hold workpieces in position as directed.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil.
- Assist with installing construction materials, including pipes, concrete, and steel.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
