About The Position

Meeco Sullivan is seeking a Skilled Laborer for its Decking Department in Dahlonega, Georgia. The role involves cutting decking and sheet metal to order specifications using saws, drills, and metal-cutting tools. Each order must be completed safely, accurately, and on time. The position requires daily manual labor in a production environment.

Requirements

Ability to handle daily manual labor.
Ability to read a tape measure and follow written cut orders.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry long material with a teammate.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for most of the shift.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a PMI saw, miter saws, drills, or sheet metal nibblers.
Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or lumber yard setting.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Lift and move aluminum, composite, and hardwood decking boards (16–36 feet) onto a roller assembly.
Measure and cut materials to the lengths specified on cut orders.
Safely operate a PMI saw, miter saws, drills, and sheet metal nibblers.
Pull, stage, and double-check finished pieces before they move to the next step.
Set up and use equipment safely, ensuring safety devices are in place.
Maintain a safe and clean work area by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Use equipment and materials efficiently to reduce waste.
Communicate professionally with supervisors and co-workers.
Support the team by taking on related work as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
