About The Position

Meeco Sullivan, a company with over 200 years of experience in creating high-quality dock systems, is seeking a Skilled Laborer for their Shipping Yard in Dahlonega, GA. This role involves operating a forklift and performing physical labor to load and unload trucks and trailers, as well as moving various materials used in the manufacturing of floating boat docks. The position is on the 1st shift with a starting rate of $19/hr.

Requirements

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
1 years’ experience operating a forklift and/or forklift Certification preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Nice To Haves

Familiar with the use of hand tools, i.e. saws, drills, hammers, etc.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing facility moving material, unloading and loading trucks
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Assist in safely loading and unloading materials (This could include climbing, carrying, lifting, etc.)
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Professionally and tactfully communicate with drivers, customers, management and co-workers.
Assist truck drivers in maneuvering around and backing out of shipping yard.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
