About The Position

Toyota Manufacturing is hiring a Skilled Die Maintenance Team Member for its Die Maintenance Department. The role primarily performs preventative maintenance on casting dies used to manufacture aluminum cylinder heads that support engine production and automobile production at Toyota plants in North America. The work includes maintaining and modifying dies, carrying out repairs, and helping improve safety, quality, and productivity in a team setting. The position involves standing and walking for 10–12 hours per shift and working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Toyota states that it does not provide immigration-related employment visa or work authorization support for this role.

Requirements

A two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a related field, or two years of industrial maintenance or military experience.
Experience assembling, welding, grinding, machining, and hand finishing dies to maintain quality.
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
Technical knowledge and skills in Tool & Die, welding, and machining.
Availability to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
Basic administrative skills, including documenting work performed by written or electronic methods.
Must have the right to work in the United States without Toyota immigration-related employment support or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform welding, grinding, machining, hand finishing, and fabrication.
Modify dies to maintain surface quality and accuracy.
Assemble and disassemble dies and die components.
Operate cranes and industrial vehicles.
Conduct emergency repairs.
Work in a team setting.
Log daily book entries to communicate activities, issues, and work progress.
Solve problems to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
