About The Position

Great Place Construction (GPC) is looking for a SKILLED CONCRETE FINISHER for full-time, year-round positions. We specialize in commercial design/build projects and are seeking reliable, skilled commercial construction tradesmen. This is an opportunity to join a growing company with advancement possibilities, as you will be coming in on the ground floor. We are open to training individuals with various commercial construction skill sets.

Requirements

Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis.
May have to push/pull up to 100lbs on an infrequent basis.
Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
Valid DL and good driving record.
Knowledge of various tools associated with duties noted above.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired.

Responsibilities

Prepare, place, and finish concrete.
Construct, place, and strip formwork.
Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents.
Place and strike concrete with mechanical equipment.
Finish, edge, and cut placed concrete.
Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work.
Work with field supervision to coordinate the entire concrete installation process.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
