About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a mid-grade SkillBridge Mission Data Engineer to support the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron (36 EWS), 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for electronic warfare support of Combat Air Forces warfighter systems. Its mission includes developing and testing mission data to defeat enemy radar and infrared-guided missile systems and enhance aircrew and aircraft survivability. Related work includes operational electronic warfare testing, mission data development, validation and verification, force development evaluation, and foreign materiel exploitation. The role involves electronic warfare research, mission data development and testing, and support for electronic warfare system programming and reprogramming. The engineer will coordinate programming requirements with system engineers, prepare validation and verification test plans, participate in mission data configuration control boards, and help collect, record, and analyze test data. Domestic and international travel may be required; a U.S. passport or ability to obtain one is required. This is a SkillBridge training program scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the customer site, with 10–15% travel.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
A bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline and three to ten years of experience in an engineering capacity; actual electronic warfare experience may substitute for the technical degree requirement.
Demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
Working knowledge of computer systems and understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required to start work and to be maintained throughout employment.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally; must possess a U.S. passport or be able to obtain one.
Must meet DoW SkillBridge eligibility requirements: be an active-duty service member within 2–4 months of separation or retirement, expect an honorable discharge, have taken service TAPS/TGPS, have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months, and obtain written authorization from the unit commander before starting the program. An MOU may also be required by the base.
Must meet DoW SkillBridge qualifications as specified in DODI 1322.29.

Nice To Haves

Current active Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
Previous experience in RF integration, electromagnetic spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing.
Knowledge of electronic warfare weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

Conduct appropriate electronic warfare research, mission data development, and mission data testing.
