About The Position

Responsible for the repair, tuning, and assembling of skis and snowboards. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. This position is located at Palisades Tahoe and is not remote. The base hourly pay range is $18.00 - $25.92 per hour. Actual pay will vary based on factors such as experience, education, training, location, and performance. This role is part of a larger compensation package that may include incentives and region-specific benefits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Neat and clean appearance adhering to grooming standards.
• Punctuality and reliability in reporting for scheduled shifts.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain high accuracy and courtesy under pressure.
• Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift.
• Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required.

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 months of customer service or related experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and ski/snowboard equipment
• Experience with POS systems

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service to all customers and employees.
• Greet and assist every guest entering the store promptly.
• Service and repair customer merchandise following established guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns and problems tactfully and efficiently.
• Complete necessary documentation and paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to all area and industry procedures and regulations.
• Keep knowledge and skills up-to-date with current trends and practices.
• Follow safety procedures when using tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sales techniques when required.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Assess customer equipment needs and assist with rental selections.
• Ensure rental equipment is well-maintained.
• Train customers on equipment care and usage.
