About The Position

Ski patrollers are responsible for the on-mountain safety of the Resort, providing medical care and emergency services to guests and employees, as well as ski trail maintenance. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be customer service and safety minded with strong interpersonal skills and team oriented.
• Ability to obtain and maintain EMT-B and/or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certifications.
• Proficient skiing/snowboarding ability as determined by the Ski Patrol Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Educate Loveland Ski Area guests on skier safety and current snow conditions; provide a friendly and approachable liaison for guests’ questions and concerns.
• Provide emergency medical services to customers and employees on mountain and in the aid room.
• Evacuate injured skiers/snowboarders from mountain or base area to patrol room.
• Mitigate hazardous and unsafe conditions.
• Avalanche control and rescue.
• Chair lift evacuation.
