About The Position

The Ski Patrol is responsible for monitoring mountain areas for injured, reckless, and lost skiers and snowboarders, as well as skiing hazards. This role involves providing first aid and other necessary assistance, enforcing skiing safety regulations, completing ongoing training, practicing emergency procedures, and performing various trail maintenance tasks. The position is available for both full-time and part-time roles.

Requirements

• Advanced skiing and riding ability for all terrain types required.
• Must work well in a team.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid certification (OEC preferred, EMT acceptable, WFR acceptable) required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned mountain areas regularly to ensure that all trails are properly marked.
• Identify injured guests and list out of control and reckless skiers and snowboarders.
• Identify existing potential skiing hazards, and monitor and report on weather/skiing conditions, skiing traffic and the like.
• Provide care and transportation of injured guests down the mountain.
• Transport equipment around the mountain.
• Evacuate guests from chairlifts.
