About The Position

Assist the Ski Patrol Director, Assistant Director, and Managers in leading the patrol staff in daily operations while caring for our guests as a member of a professional mountain rescue team. Develop staff through daily mentorship, facilitating training, and completing performance reviews. Foster a positive, harassment-free environment through mutual respect and an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Meet the requirements of a Mammoth Mountain Senior Ski Patroller (TT-C).
  • Qualified to lead multiple avalanche control routes on Mammoth Mountain involving the deployment of explosives.
  • Capable of leading/managing complex incidents (medical or rescue).
  • Capable of performing the primary patrol dispatcher role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make rational decisions in a highly stressful environment or situation.
  • Demonstrate effective and timely communication with all ski patrollers, patrol management, and other departments.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively within the patrol management team.
  • Effective evaluation and mentorship of Ski Patrol TT-B and TT-C personnel.
  • Ability to manage daily Ski Patrol operations.
  • Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office.
