Ski Maintenance Compressor Operator
About The Position
The Ski Maintenance Compressor Operator controls the snowmaking pumps and air compressors required for snowmaking operations. The role monitors and optimizes pumping systems for maximum efficiency, controls automated snowmaking equipment, and performs routine maintenance on pump motors and compressors when they are not operating. It also involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and maintaining a clean work environment in the snowmaking shop. This is a seasonal position with a schedule that varies according to weather and snowmaking opportunities. Work may include weekends and holidays, rotating hours, and evening or night shifts. The operator must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week from November through March.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Safety-conscious decision making.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work 40+ hours per week November–March.
- Valid driver’s license and approved driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Electrical or mechanical licenses or certifications.
- Prior experience with automation controls.
