About The Position

Installs tooling, adapters, pickoffs, and other automation in sizing presses. Sets press timing and ejection rates to meet process specification. Follows safe operating procedures, maintains 7S standards, and performs TPM activities as needed. Reviews and follows quality, process, and operator instructions. Performs quality checks and accurately records them using Plexus or the required method. Identifies, contains, and generates Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) for any non-conforming material and forwards them to the Material Review Board (MRB). Communicates with co-workers from previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concerns. Ensures the operation runs at the required production rate and notifies the Team Leader or equivalent when it does not. Accurately reports production and scrap using Factivity or the required method. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities. Installs new setups following procedures for different parts, starts machines, and inspects work. Sets up feeder equipment, dumps parts into hoppers using a barrel hoist, and removes, cleans, and returns completed tools and adapters to the tool crib. Adjusts presses during operation as needed. Operates sizing equipment as required, such as during weekends, lunches, or due to labor shortages from call-offs and excessive absenteeism. Completes other tasks within the job classification as assigned and assists other employees as advised by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
