About The Position

Veritas Christian Academy is seeking a Sixth Grade Teacher to instruct in Bible (Old Testament Survey) and Geography (Western Hemisphere) for the 2026-27 academic year. The Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction within a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters academic growth, character development, and spiritual formation. This role involves partnering with mission-minded families to integrate Christian faith and academic excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university
Ability to obtain and maintain Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) certification
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Commitment to integrating Christian faith and biblical worldview into teaching

Nice To Haves

Teaching certification preferred
Prior teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs
Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and spiritual growth
Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and observation
Maintain accurate records for attendance, grading, and student performance
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and needs
Maintain appropriate classroom discipline and supervision of students
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school goals
