About The Position

This role requires a passion to disciple, train, and lead students in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ; to lead students in worship and develop them to lead their peers; to assist the worship ministry, as well as the youth ministry in making disciples. This leader desires to see young men and women not only be leaders, but friends and servants to students around them. The candidate will strive to create an atmosphere where students, as a body of believers, are able to freely worship their God!

Requirements

Experience and passion for leading worship
Musical proficiency in both singing and instrumentation
Proficiency in Planning Center and Ableton
The ability to teach and train
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership and the church body
The ability to identify priorities and work under pressure and deadlines when necessary
Flexibility with good time management skills
Convinced a relationship with Jesus changes everything in a person’s life
Committed to keeping your family as your first ministry
Dedicated in your personal study of God’s Word
Consistently placing a high priority on worship and your personal prayer life
An excellent and generous steward of your personal finances
Obedient to God to take a Sabbath and make space for soul-keeping

Responsibilities

Shepherd, disciple, and develop current youth worship leaders and musicians. (30%)
Prepare and practice leading worship in weekly Six78 services. (HSM/campuses if available) (15%)
Manage our youth venues (gear, platform, staging, sound).
Schedule worship team for all weekly services in Six78
Find, arrange, and chart music for the student worship teams.
Manage online databases of songs, schedules, charts, volunteers.
Attend necessary Youth, Family and Worship meetings (10%)
Identify, Recruit, and train up new singers and musicians to serve. (5%)
Oversee Youth Encounter worship with HSM Worship Leader (5%)
Collaborate with Worship Ministry through meetings, leading at various services and events, and scheduling students to serve in main sanctuary, and development of students musically (5%)
Coordinate with the FTL Youth Director to reach students effectively. (5%)
Shepherd, disciple, develop and be available for counseling and discipleship of current youth as opportunities arise. (5%)
Lead, plan and execute youth discipleship opportunities, events and outreaches. This includes off and on campus opportunities for students to engage in community outside of regular service times. (10%)
Assist in various youth ministry tasks and ministry opportunities as needed(5%)
Lead a First Priority Club at a local middle school (5%)
