About The Position
Lemieux & Associates is seeking experienced SIU Field Investigators in Birmingham, Alabama, and surrounding areas. This is a part-time role for investigators with SIU or claims investigation experience. The position offers flexible hours, competitive pay, and opportunities for professional growth. The listed pay rate is $25–$32. Applicants must live in the Birmingham area and be licensed as a Private Investigator by the State of Alabama. A resume and completed questionnaire are required for consideration. The work involves investigating SIU and claims matters, preparing accurate reports, gathering statements, investigating scenes, and photographing evidence. The role requires a flexible schedule, willingness to travel, and access to a reliable vehicle, digital camera, and Windows-based computer with internet access.
Requirements
- SIU or claims investigation experience as a Private Investigator or Fraud Investigator.
- Live in the Birmingham area.
- Be licensed by the State of Alabama as a Private Investigator.
- Have experience handling complex SIU/claims cases.
- Be willing to travel and work a flexible schedule with varied or irregular hours.
- Have strong computer and internet skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Have a digital camera and Windows-based computer with internet access.
- Be able to meet deadlines while producing high-quality work.

Nice To Haves
- Notary license strongly preferred.
- Bilingual ability and/or a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Write detailed, accurate reports.
- Obtain written and recorded statements.
- Conduct scene investigations.
- Accurately photograph evidence, including accident scenes and vehicle damage.
