About The Position

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Full-Time Site Worker to join their team in Fairbanks, AK. This role involves general facility maintenance for 13 transfer sites, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety rules and restrictions. The position requires a satisfactory driving record as a company vehicle will be used. The starting pay is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with a schedule of 5 days a week, Monday to Sunday, which may include weekends.

Requirements

A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
1 year of work experience, preferably in a labor-type position.
The ability to continually lift throughout an 8-hour shift.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is a plus.
Mechanical ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

General facility maintenance for 13 transfer sites.
Maintain the cleanliness of the transfer sites, keeping them clean and free from debris by shoveling and raking trash.
Greeting, directing, and educating customers of safety rules onsite and restrictions in a polite and courteous manner.
Removal of snow throughout transfer sites and entryways.
Operating chainsaws, snow blowers, pressure washers.
Performing other duties as assigned.
