About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Site Support Technical Intern ready to gain real-world work experience. This role allows interns to test their skills in practical situations, explore career options, and understand an organization or career path. The position requires onsite support at our San Diego, CA office. This internship offers year-round work, with interns expected to work between 20-27 hours per week. Throughout the internship, participants will develop soft skills such as communication, personal effectiveness, presentation, creative problem-solving, and influencing. Internships provide opportunities to interact with experienced professionals, gaining insights into the job and career progression. This is an entry-level position where the intern will apply fundamental concepts and procedures to transition classroom knowledge to workforce experience. The candidate will support onsite customers by staffing a walk-up center with other interns and providing technical support using established procedures and guidance from a technical mentor. Interns will have the chance to explore various aspects of an IT organization, from technical to support functions. Please note that this description is not exhaustive; mentors will define specific day-to-day duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply fundamentals, concepts, and procedures to expand classroom knowledge to workforce level experience.
