About The Position

At the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, we’ve been helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fuller, richer lives for over 60 years. As a Residential Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that mission—leading a team of Direct Support Professionals and ensuring every person we serve has the support they need to thrive. This role requires flexibility to work in residential homes and community settings throughout Rhode Island. You'll also use your personal vehicle for transportation as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in direct support services
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle
• Solid computer skills and familiarity with documentation systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• A compassionate mindset and a commitment to dignity, choice, and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor residential staff
• Foster a positive, person-centered environment
• Ensure implementation of individual support and safety plans
• Assist with personal care and model direct support practices
• Oversee house operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and budgeting
• Participate in staff hiring, training, and performance management
• Support life planning and community engagement for residents
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
