About The Position

As a Single-Family Site Superintendent, you understand how to lead and ensure the homes are at the highest quality which is the Jayman standard. You have a presence among the trades, customers, and staff and have a passion for Single Family construction. We're looking for an experienced individual in the home-building industry, who is comfortable with the technological tools that make managing a project easier. You are comfortable with the complexities and details that come with building quality homes. Specifically, you'll have strong experience with Project Management software to ensure on-time completion of new homes and the scheduling of trades. You'll communicate with trades, customers, sales staff, office staff and the service team throughout the construction process. You will be responsible to ensure work done by trades partners is 100% complete before payment is authorized and will work with them to ensure they meet timelines provided in the construction schedule. Safety will also be a key aspect of your role as you ensure hazard assessments, tool-box meetings, and safe work practices are in place for all sites.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience in handling residential construction site management.
  • Strong ability to multitask; be proactive; and understand attention to detail.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and an ability to delegate and make judgement calls.
  • Good computer skills including Outlook and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • A designation in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent education and experience would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with BuildPro is an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the PHBIA's Residential Site Management Program.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Salary range: $85,473 - $102,000
  • Bonus potential of 5% salary paid out annually.
