About The Position

The Real Estate Strategy department is responsible for selecting new store locations, developing multi-year market strategies, identifying properties for lease or purchase, recommending store remodels, and replacing facilities. Their mission is to ensure attractive, safe, clean, and convenient store locations for customers, with a synergistic tenant mix. The Site Selection Specialist assists the site selection team in managing the process of new retail locations through site selection and lease execution.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least one year of clerical experience
• Verbal and written communication skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three or more years of clerical experience
• One or more years of legal and/or real estate experience
• One or more years of Publix experience
• Fundamental real estate terminology, methods, processes, and industry knowledge
• General knowledge of legal documents such as leases, amendments, declarations, and purchase and sale agreements
• In depth knowledge of Publix Real Estate processes
• Basic knowledge of site plans, legal descriptions, parking ratios, and site design criteria
• Basic knowledge of GIS/mapping tools and software
• Knowledge of Compass and Alteryx web application
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Create Real Estate Committee site packages by compiling and consolidating data for new retail locations, replacement stores, and liquor stores.
• Enter, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of all data in the retail database used to manage retail locations and liquor stores throughout their complete lifecycle.
• Coordinate legal requests and prepare required documentation for lease execution, ensuring submissions and exhibits meet all required criteria.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness for ongoing department projects.
