Site Security Coordinator
About The Position
The Site Security Coordinator will assist the Site Security Manager (SSM) with oversight of construction site security surveillance activities, security inspection documentation, and implementation of the Construction Security Plan (CSP). This role involves assisting with the oversight of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) activities, developing inspection methods and procedures, and reporting any performance issues to the SSM. The coordinator will perform quality control checks on CST work and documentation, provide corrective actions for security staff performance or surveillance issues, and develop implementation procedures for secure area construction surveillance and site security documentation. They will coordinate with CSTs to document security violations or deviations from the CSP, ensuring detailed reports are submitted to the SSM. Additionally, the coordinator will ensure compliance with ICD-705 and other requirements, assist the SSM with accreditation documentation, and compile daily and weekly reports.
Requirements
- Possess at least five (7) years of construction experience. Security experience may supplement up to two (2) years of construction experience if the security experience is directly related to DoD SCIF construction or physical security.
- Possess a High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a valid certificate for the successful completion of a Forty (40) Hours or greater ICD 705 construction training course.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities for long periods of time.
- Possess working knowledge of the ICD/ICS-705 Tech Specs (version 26 July 2021) as demonstrated by experience gained from working on multiple ICD-705 projects.
- TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the SSM with oversight of construction site security surveillance activities, security inspection documentation and implementation of the Construction Security Plan (CSP).
- Assist SSM with oversight of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) activities.
- Assist SSM with developing inspection methods and procedures.
- Report any issues of CST poor or inadequate performance to the SSM.
- Perform quality control checks of CST field work and CST documentation.
- Provide corrective action to all security staff performance or surveillance issues.
- Develop implementation procedures for secure area construction surveillance and surveillance plans and site security documentation for personnel and site security activities.
- Coordinate with CST to document all security violations or deviations from the CSP that occur on the Secure Construction Site and notify the Site Security Manager (SSM) in the daily and weekly reports.
- Ensure ICD-705 and all other requirements in section 1.1 a through g are implemented and ensure the SSM is made aware of any non-compliant activities.
- Assist the SSM in compiling, drafting and submitting and submitting the required PHYSICAL and TEMPEST accreditation documentation.
- Compile CST daily and weekly reports and any SSC documentation reports to the SSM and document all security violations or deviations from the CSP that occur on a weekly basis.
