About The Position

The Site Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining finite-capacity production schedules. This role involves coordinating raw material requirements, managing inventory levels, and overseeing the shipping and logistics of finished goods. The Site Scheduler also acts as a key operational liaison and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the production and supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Develop, manage, and maintain finite-capacity production schedules based on customer demand, labor, equipment constraints, and material readiness.
  • Sequence production orders to optimize throughput, minimize changeovers, and meet service level commitments.
  • Continuously monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address disruptions such as material delays, machine downtime, or changing priorities.
  • Communicate daily and weekly schedules to production, supply chain planning, shipping, and customer-facing teams.
  • Track and report scheduling KPIs including schedule adherence, lead time, and capacity utilization.
  • Coordinate with corporate buyers and production to release raw material requirements aligned with the production schedule and forecasted demand.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and discrepancies in collaboration with purchasing and internal teams.
  • Manage raw material and WIP inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP/MRP systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory turns and material flow.
  • Coordinate finished goods shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Partner with shipping and logistics teams to prioritize orders and optimize freight execution.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, timely shipment release, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Communicate order status and delivery updates to customer service and sales teams.
  • Act as a key operational liaison between production, purchasing, planning, shipping, and site leadership.
  • Support S&OP, demand planning, and capacity planning processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling effectiveness, material availability, and supplier performance.
  • Support system and process improvements within ERP/MRP platforms.
