This position will work closely with the project leadership team, not only as a Safety leader but as a partner in the project’s success. You will be surrounded by highly skilled trade people on the frontline, looking to work together with a supportive and influential team member. Specific accountabilities will include monitoring compliance with safety policies, procedures, plans, and regulatory compliance requirements; building engagement in preventative safety activities (leading indicators); training and communication; inspections/audits; incident investigation and management. Strive to become an instrumental team member who adds value by identifying areas for improvement and continuing to build the safety culture. Work alongside customers and members at all levels of the organization by providing top-notch customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program (related field)
Three to five years of experience or equivalent experience and competency
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail
Ability to lead and influence the safety culture within our worksite locations
Proactive problem solver
Able to identify hazards
Able to assess risk prior to incidents occurring
Willing to travel
