About The Position

We are seeking a Site Safety Manager for a Data Center construction project in Cartersville, GA. This role is crucial for ensuring safety throughout the construction phase, with the duration tied to the project's timeline. The Safety Manager will be responsible for identifying and mitigating hazards, developing and implementing safety training, and ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations. This is an on-site position with typical M-F hours, but may require overtime and some Saturdays.

Requirements

• Must have current OSHA 30-hour construction course or completed within the past two years.
• Must possess at least one of the following Board of Safety Professionals designations: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Safety and Health Technician (CHST), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
• Must have the knowledge and ability to arrange or conduct safety and health-related training.
• Training and certifications in CPR/First Aid.

Nice To Haves

• The duration of the role will extend based on location switch and job completion, remaining onsite as long as the construction phase is occurring.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Safety Manager for a Data Center Facility.
• Be present on-site daily.
• Meet the requirements of "Competent Person" as identified by OSHA for all aspects of Electric BMS installation, including low voltage electrical subcontractors.
• Arrange or conduct safety and health-related training when knowledge gaps are identified.
• Review and understand the site-specific training plan, as well as other safety procedures and policies.
• Oversee safety protocols including Electrical Safety, LOTO procedures, Ladder Safety, Working at Heights Safety, and incident/near-miss reporting procedures.
