About The Position

Signiant is seeking a co-op Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our existing SRE team. The SRE role focuses on treating operations as a software problem to minimize the impact of outages and ensure optimal service availability and performance for end-users. This position will involve working on the reliability of Signiant's SaaS solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation and maintaining a high-reliability record for solutions used globally. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and the Google SRE handbook.

Requirements

• The ability to work on a variety of projects throughout the entire stack.
• A belief that everything can be improved.
• Fanatical devotion to seeing problem resolution through to completion.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with a public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Scripting ability (Python preferred, but Bash and Node.js are ok)
• Understanding of API usage
• Container technologies (Docker)
• CI/CD tooling (Azure Pipelines, Bitbucket Pipelines, Circle-CI, Jenkins)
• UNIX/Linux sysadmin skills
• Metrics management/reporting/alerting (Datadog, CloudWatch, Nagios)
• Container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes)
• Performance monitoring
• Experience with git
