About The Position

This is a full-time 8-12 month co-op/intern position starting September 2026, open to individuals currently enrolled in full-time education or recent/upcoming graduates within 12 months of the placement end date. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in the Ottawa, Canada office. The Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for the delivery, management, and monitoring of Kinaxis products and cloud infrastructure, ensuring 7x24x365 service availability and performance globally. They develop automation for production operations using modern platform tooling. The intern will contribute to delivering Software-as-a-Service globally, focusing on customer excellence, meeting SLAs, and working collaboratively within the team. Responsibilities include deploying, upgrading, and supporting applications, services, and operating systems, gaining exposure to infrastructure like VMWare, Kubernetes, and networking, as well as public clouds such as Azure and GCP. The role involves troubleshooting system performance and application health, taking ownership of incident resolution, and adhering to security and confidentiality requirements. Additional projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline
  • Proven strong troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of remote system administration
  • Understanding of system performance monitoring
  • Knowledge of modern SaaS technologies
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ansible
