About The Position

We’re seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support the design, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise-grade cloud environments. In this role, you’ll help manage scalable infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to improving system reliability through automation and documentation. This is a 6-month contract (1099) based in Irvine, CA (hybrid: 2 days onsite weekly). Ideal candidates have a foundational understanding of cloud technologies, and a strong interest in learning within a fast-paced production-focused environment. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to resolve incidents, support monitoring systems, and build processes that improve operational efficiency and prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

  • A college degree (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of professional experience in IT or Cloud infrastructure.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Cloud theories, principles, and industry best practices.
  • Experience or familiarity with diagnosing production issues and participating in an on-call rotation.
  • A foundational understanding of automation and process creation to drive infrastructure efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to build stable internal working relationships within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid capacity in Irvine, CA (Onsite Wednesdays plus one additional day per week).

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage Cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring they meet rigorous enterprise-grade SLA standards.
  • Create and deploy scalable monitoring systems to support a rapidly expanding global infrastructure footprint.
  • Resolve customer escalations and prevent incident recurrence by developing robust processes, procedures, and automations.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve urgent production issues, including potential support during off-normal business hours.
  • Write, augment, and maintain comprehensive production documentation to ensure team alignment and operational clarity.
  • Partner with senior team members to learn routine assignments and apply standard practices to solve infrastructure challenges.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and mentors to seek feedback and explain policies or practices related to the Cloud discipline.
