About The Position

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead project-level quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities. Reporting to the Regional Quality Manager, this role is the on-site lead for implementing the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), managing quality inspection teams, and serving as the primary quality liaison with client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. The position focuses on utility-scale solar photovoltaic systems, electrical infrastructure, civil engineering, and structural construction, with an emphasis on quality and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site jobsite role in Marco, Indiana, and requires frequent travel, including extended stays at remote project locations. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. The role supports compliance with company policies, project specifications, industry standards, contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, and relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale solar quality management.
In-depth knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies.
Experience with project management software such as Procore or Primavera P6.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at remote project locations for extended periods.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Quality management certifications, such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the Regional Quality Manager in developing, implementing, and managing processes under the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP).
Assist in developing the project Inspection Test Plan (ITP), including inspection processes for all definable features of work.
Enforce company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
Conduct regular inspections in accordance with the ITP, SSQP, and contract requirements.
Perform internal, process, and documentation audits of construction activities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning work.
Document inspection and audit findings and verify that corrective actions are implemented.
Identify, report, and manage nonconformance issues and quality deficiencies.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
Organize and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and test results.
Generate regular quality metrics reports for project and company leadership.
Become proficient in SOLV Energy’s proprietary Quality Software, Sunscreen, for inspection documentation and reporting.
Review subcontractor QA plans, audit subcontractor work, and ensure supplied materials and equipment meet specifications.
Facilitate lessons-learned meetings and provide feedback to engineering and procurement teams to improve project quality and efficiency.
Conduct post-construction reviews and add lessons learned to the repository for training applications.
Ensure site activities comply with contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, and applicable codes and regulations.
Manage quality inspection teams and act as the primary quality liaison with on-site client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
