About The Position

This role supports the Quality Manager or Site Quality Manager in implementing site-level quality procedures and processes that help ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and in compliance with project requirements. The Site Quality Lead supports inspections, quality documentation, turnover packages, welding and testing oversight, and identifying and resolving nonconforming work throughout the construction process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional inspection experience and 10 years of construction industry experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on field experience, preferably in heavy industrial construction.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (AWS or similar) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable construction codes and quality processes, including ASME codes and R-stamp work.
  • PT, MT, and UT Thickness experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of inspection practices, turnover documentation, and quality control processes.
  • Proficient with computers and comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work effectively with field teams and project leadership.

  • PT, MT, and UT Thickness experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of site-level quality procedures and processes to ensure compliance with project requirements, construction codes, and client specifications.
  • Participate in safety activities, follow all safety procedures, and report or stop unsafe conditions and acts.
  • Perform and support inspections across multiple scopes of work, including materials, civil, equipment, coatings, insulation, structural, piping, tubing, and subcontractor work.
  • Review plans, drawings, specifications, construction codes, welding procedures, and inspection and test plans to ensure work is completed correctly.
  • Monitor welding activities, verify welder qualifications and continuity, inspect weld quality, and maintain weld logs, weld maps, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate required NDE and PWHT activities, maintain related records, and ensure reports are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
  • Support pressure testing activities, including documentation, walk-downs, test package review, witnessing tests, and turnover package preparation.
  • Identify incomplete or nonconforming work, communicate issues to supervision, and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized quality records and documentation for turnover and project closeout.
  • Mentor inspectors and interns and provide oversight to Site Quality Inspectors when applicable.
