About The Position
Raytheon in State College, PA is seeking a Full-Time Guard for third shift to maintain security of the facility and to ensure a safe environment for employees. In order to be successful in this position you must be a team player who can work independently and be available for all three shift, weekends and holidays and work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Operate a security control center by monitoring closed-circuit television, access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm and HVAC systems.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies.
- Investigate unusual events and suspicious activities.
- Patrol the facility to inspect access points and conduct equipment, temperature and building checks.
- Open and close secure areas.
- Process visitors in and out of the facility.
- Make reports of violations, incidents, suspicious activities and facilities issues.
