About The Position

This is a Site Protection Services (SPS) position responsible for managing proprietary Guard Forces in the Raytheon Physical East Region. In this capacity, the Site Protection Services Manager reports directly to the Raytheon Physical Security East Associate Director. This position is primarily responsible for leading the operational structure of the Site Protective Services organization for the Raytheon Guard Association (RGA) located in the Northeast and the proprietary guard force located at the Raytheon State College facility to ensure alignment with all company and government requirements. You must have the ability to undergo security response training of moderate to high intensity as well as the ability to properly monitor the overall security posture of company facilities, including the performance and utilization of security response personnell.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a security response force (security, law enforcement and/or military)
  • Experience in the development and/or delivery of security or law enforcement related training programs.
  • Experience with basic Incident Command System (ICS) procedures
  • Experience leading security response officers working 24/7/365 schedules
  • Experience with planning, scheduling, organizing, directing work and recommending employees for employment, awards, discipline, termination or retention
  • Experience reviewing, editing, and approving daily security or law enforcement (or related field) reports
  • Experience using a Records Management System to document security incidents
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Masters’ degree with a major in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • 10 years of supervisorial experience in security, law enforcement and/or military.
  • Experience leading a team with a Community Service approach to security or law enforcement operations
  • Active Top-Secret DoD security clearance
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) or other related industry certifications
  • Experience creating a team environment and rallying a team around a common mission, vision and goals
  • The ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal/external customers of all levels
  • Knowledge of physical and electronic security protocols and equipment/systems
  • Completion of baseline National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training Program courses and curriculum
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFAN, and ICD as applicable
  • Instructor level certifications in security or law enforcement related fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for incident command leadership and direction for physical security, disaster management, and emergency response services involving the safeguarding of personnel, property, and facilities, until properly relieved.
  • Responsible for leading site protection operations: i.e., employee and visitor entry and exit control, vehicle and foot patrols within the facility, parking and traffic control, off-hour supplemental patrols for security violations, crime and security violation preliminary investigations.
  • Responsible for the daily supervision and work assignments of the designated site of security supervisors. This will include efficient schedule management, determining resource demands, assignment rotations, and providing performance feedback.
  • Plans, develops, and implements security programs to safeguard personnel, intellectual property and facilities.
  • Determines risks associated with the facility protection and business operations and develops programs to manage risk in a cost-effective manner.
  • Liaison with contractor site protective services within the region.
  • Follow up, accountability, and communication to include leading, reviewing and reporting on progress related to the timely execution of projects and plans which have significant and long-lasting impact.
  • Identify opportunities to make actionable verbal/written recommendations to internal and external stakeholders regarding physical security and SPS to drive efficiencies and improved performance.
