About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Site Project Manager for Westinghouse work at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant. This is a contract position located onsite in Avila Beach, CA. The role involves reporting to the Manager of I&C Installation Services and onsite management. The Site Project Manager will be responsible for all project management processes and will oversee large teams during online work phases and outages.

Requirements

High school graduate or recognized equivalent.
Prior experience in planning and managing I&C projects.
Prior experience in the nuclear industry.
Ability to travel and maintain “Unescorted Access” status.

Responsibilities

Project planning, including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
Managing field teams to plan Work Orders.
Developing outage and online schedules in collaboration with the customer.
Overseeing project execution, monitoring, and controls.
Assuming overall responsibility for the profitability of contracts.
Acquiring team members according to project plans and department protocols.
Managing all aspects of the project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners through delegates/support.
Interpreting and transmitting project/contract requirements and subsequent changes to teams using an integrated change management process.
Reviewing project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope.
Promoting teamwork by issuing and maintaining project process metrics and process maps to keep the team, customer, and partners informed of project status.
Developing or overseeing project databases and procedures for efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation.
