About The Position

The Site Planner 2 is primarily responsible for completion of site plans, reviewing title commitments, and supporting the New Home Starts department as needed. This role involves completing final site plans, reviewing and approving Title Commitments, and setting up preliminary site plans from surveys or plats on AutoCAD. The Site Planner 2 must maintain an understanding of current Perry Homes design standards, code and community guidelines, as they apply to site plans, redraws, and lot fits. This position is responsible for the quality and accuracy of all drawings and may be required to complete projects on very short notice with extreme time constraints. Additionally, the role includes reviewing, approving, and correcting title commitments as assigned, and assisting with redraws, lot fits, and sold home forms as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Requires at least 2 years of experience in basic drafting methods, and an understanding of symbols and techniques of drawing via AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of Architectural Language pertaining to residential construction.
Ability to read blueprints, surveys, Metes & Bounds descriptions.
Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Computer Drafting or Design preferred.
Experience in civil drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete final site plans.
