This position will be based on one of windfarms in Campbeltown area, Scotland. You must live within 1 hour of this location.

Requirements

Demonstrable transferable knowledge.
Knowledge of how a windfarm operates.
A basic understanding of Health & Safety and its application in the workplace.
Proactive and motivated self-starter.

Tenacious/determined to succeed.
Integrity.
Communication both verbally and in writing.
Work alone and unsupervised in remote locations.
Competent with IT and Microsoft products to meet the tasks of the role.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Nice To Haves

A basic awareness of International Standards Organisations (ISO) requirements and benefits would be an advantage but not essential.
Further training may be given to develop knowledge with SCADA, communications systems, networks and the use of multiple databases and user interfaces as part of ongoing development.
Practical based experience as a wind turbine technician would be advantageous.
Responsible and mature approach.
Experience dealing with multiple clients or involved with planning submissions.
Operations environment with experience supervising contractors/ 3rd parties.
Adapt and evolve plans in a fast-paced environment.
Task prioritising.
Efficient working.
Level 3 in a relevant subject with demonstrable transferable skills (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities on a number of renewable energy assets (mainly Wind) in a geographical area with flexibility to operate beyond that region to suit business needs.
Support the Asset Management Team maintaining statutory, safety and quality and environmental standards.
Conduct site inspections.
Assist the Hub Operations Manager in maintaining contractual obligations.
Ensure all site tasks are carried out under the RES Site Rules, Business Management System and Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
Provide first line response to site significant defects and any emergencies in an expeditious manner to support the Site Operations Management team meet contractual obligations.
Perform asset inspections of generating equipment, civil and site electrical systems according to an inspection schedule.
Conduct contractor compliance checks and ensure their adherence to safe systems of work.
Inform of issues and operational risks to the Hub Operations Manager promptly to avoid impacts.
Be accountable and take responsibility for successful delivery of all tasks whilst observing the highest safety standards.
Follow company defined processes and procedures and be flexible to change including asset allocation/area of responsibility.
Assist the Hub Operations Manager in ensuring each asset is compliant with all applicable regulations following company process.
General compliance and housekeeping of each site including the amenities during scheduled site presence.
Cost savings and adding value is an embedded skill.
