About The Position

Wellpath is seeking a Site Medical Director to oversee medical care at an assigned facility, ensuring compliance with company, institutional, NCCHC, and ACA standards. This role involves providing direct patient care, supervising clinical staff, and maintaining accurate electronic health records. The Director will manage emergency situations, adhere to formulary guidelines, and prioritize in-house resources for referrals. A key aspect of the role is collaborating with the Health Services Administrator on quality improvement initiatives, chronic care clinics, and pharmacy oversight. The Director will also act as a liaison with community health providers, annually review clinical protocols, and contribute to enhancing patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Medical school graduate.
  • Current licensure within the State of employment.
  • Current DEA number.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to maintain privileges.
  • Maintenance of CME requirements for continued medical practice in the State.

  • Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Public Health.

Responsibilities
