Part-time Site Medical Director - Illinois River Correctional Center (77467)
About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a part-time (16 hours) Site Medical Director to join their team at Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton, Illinois. The Medical Director will provide clinical direction for patient services and medical staff supervision at the assigned site, reporting to the Statewide Medical Director. This role ensures efficient and clinically appropriate medical services and involves participation in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Active, unrestricted MD/DO Illinois license or ability to obtain.
- Active, unrestricted DEA.
- Ability to pass credentialing, drug screening and background check.
- BC/BE in a primary care specialty is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements.
- Direct clinical services for patients.
- Provide clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site.
- Ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
- Participate in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.
