About The Position

North Berwick Aerospace Systems (NBAS) is looking for a Site Materials Senior Manager to lead our AWW (Weekend) Site Materials Team. The successful candidate is customer-focused and motivated to work in a dynamic and highly interactive work environment that synchronizes the entire NBAS value stream. The Site Materials Senior Manager will manage all facets of production commits and modular material flow in support of customer demands using SAP. The Site Materials Senior Manager is a key leader in our CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) journey with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: Support of Site Material and Modular Assembly value streams through the direct leadership of the Materials Planning Team Lead daily Startup/Tier meetings and Gemba walks. Effective management of planning parameters in support of schedule accuracy, schedule stability, and inventory optimization. Lead, co-lead, or support various strategic initiatives associated with NBAS Materials delivery. (i.e. Track On-Time Delivery, Maintain Inventory turns, Review/Manage production plans, synchronized pull signals with the NELC, etc.) Lead or co-lead high visibility teams that focus on streamlining part tracking from supply chain to the NELC to NBAS in the support of finished product delivery. Manage daily communication with senior leadership and other assembly floor sites. Derive and manage planning and scheduling related strategy initiatives. Support lead-time management, freight management, and material flow optimization through the use of Procurement / Materials standard work. Manage a small team of hourly Dock, Crib, Details and other materials employees Have flexibility relative to department assignment and available for shift overlap

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years' prior experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials/supply chain management or a related environment or a Master's Degree and minimum 7 years prior experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials/supply chain management or a related environment
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a constantly fluctuating, customer focused environment while successfully driving and delivering results
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Excel and PowerPoint to create documents and presentations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills building relationships and being influential across internal teams and external suppliers
  • Knowledge and understanding of CORE and continuous improvement techniques
  • In-depth SAP knowledge related to warehousing
