About The Position

The SITE MANUFACTURING PAINT TECHNICIAN is responsible for ensuring that all painting means, including the paint line and its auxiliaries, are kept in a functional and safe condition. This involves managing predictive, preventive, and curative maintenance. The role operates on a 3-shift or weekend shift schedule and includes on-call duties. The technician must adhere to HSE requirements, plan and execute preventive maintenance, and efficiently repair the paint line and auxiliaries during downtime. They will also supervise external maintenance contractors, work to reduce unscheduled downtime, and participate in continuous improvement processes. Responsibilities include managing spare parts inventory, supporting level 1 maintenance training, maintaining a tidy work area (5S), and potentially relieving team members during breaks. Active participation in training, implementation of POMS procedures and best practices, and involvement in equipment fine-tuning, setup, and small CAPEX installations are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Technician certification with specialty in several of the following fields (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Robotics and application processes
  • Previous experience in maintenance of big production equipment
  • Computer skills
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Customer orientated

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all painting means (paint line and auxiliaries) are kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with predictive, preventive, and curative maintenance.
  • Works according to HSE requirements.
  • Plans and carries out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems, and utility services.
  • Repairs efficiently paint line and auxiliaries during downtime.
  • Supervises external companies providing contract maintenance and repair.
  • Reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtime.
  • Participates in continuous improvement processes and activities.
  • Retains and maintains document stocks of necessary spare parts for painting.
  • Supports level 1 maintenance training.
  • Is responsible for tidiness of his/her work area (5S).
  • May relieve fellow team members for their breaks.
  • Actively participates in all training (in hours, provided by equipment supplier).
  • Implements all procedures in line with POMS and best practice.
  • Participates in fine tuning and final setting of the equipment.
  • Participates in paint maintenance area set up and follow up installation of small CAPEX related area.
