About The Position

JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Site Manager to support the DLA mission, DLA Distribution, to manage, operate, and perform the Distribution Center functions within a sustained auditable environment. The Site Manager will provide overall supervision for the employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the contract professionally; coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided; effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered; and execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost. The Site Manager will provide overall management coordination and serve as the central point of contact (POC) with the Government for all work under the contract. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Distribution Management, OR at least ten (10) years of management experience in distribution operations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past five (5) years.
  • Possess the knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and successfully complete the work.
  • Be citizens of the U.S.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to pass a NACI or secret background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall supervision for employees.
  • Plan and manage the contract professionally.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors and leads ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
  • Ensure that accurate and timely reports are provided.
  • Provide effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered.
  • Execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.
  • Provide overall management coordination.
  • Serve as the central point of contact (POC) with the Government for all work under the contract.
  • Incorporate risk management and internal controls into the daily operations to combat fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
  • Adhere to Contract Requirements, which include Audit Sustainment requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Stop work when there is a problem with any aspect of the process and engage with supervisors for resolution.
  • Manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Work with minimal Government oversight.
  • Act as a team player, coach, teach, and mentor.
